ทั้งนี้ บริษัทได้เริ่มดำเนินการดำเนินการผลิตไฟฟ้าเชิงพาณิชย์ในโครงการโรงไฟฟ้ากัลฟ์ ทีเอส 2 แล้วเมื่อวันที่ 1 กันยายน 2560 ที่ผ่านมา โดยโครงการดังกล่าวเป็นโรงไฟฟ้าผู้ผลิตไฟฟ้ารายเล็ก (SPP) ใช้ก๊าซธรรมชาติเป็นเชื้อเพลิงซึ่งเป็นการร่วมทุนระหว่าง บริษัท ดับบลิวเอชเอ เอ็นเนอร์ยี่ จำกัด ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทย่อย และบริษัท กัลฟ์ เอ็มพี จำกัด ในสัดส่วนร้อยละ 25.01 และร้อยละ 74.99 ตามลำดับ
